Guess what? I found the most delightful antique and vintage store called “The Old Grey Mare”

We follow one another on twitter! And yes you would be right in thinking I couldn’t resist buying something. As I’m always on the lookout for anything associated with Borzoi dogs I was excited to find the most delightful brooch of an elegant lady leading her Borzoi. It arrived from the USA this week and I am thrilled.

‘The Old Grey Mare’ – From fine antiques to fun and funky vintage treasures. Great tins, wonderful horse and dog things!

About the Old Grey Mare – Canine and equine antiques are a specialty and I’m always looking for the finest horse and dog things I can find. I have been collecting decorative tins for over 30 years, so you’ll always find a good selection of old biscuit, toffee and mustard tins in my shop. But my collections and interests are varied, so there is no telling what I might find, and offer on Ruby Lane.

A lifelong horsewoman, my husband and I own a horse farm outside Houston, with over 80 horses in residence. He is a horse trainer and judge, while I mostly concentrate on my antiques these days. I travel both here and abroad searching for wonderful treasures, and I have a booth at antique shows and horse shows across the country. I’m set up every Spring and Fall on the back aisle of the Big Red Barn, part of the original Round Top Antique Fair. I love to offer interesting and unusual pieces of quality at reasonable prices.
