More socialising – ‘CHILD WRITES’ Book launch

What an enjoyably social time I’ve had over the last week. I’ve met lots of new people and listened to some fascinating life stories.

Last night was no exception when I attended the official launch of Emma Mactaggarts new book, “CHILD WRITES – A step-by-step guide to writing and illustrating a children’s picture book”.  Belinda Sanders from Toowoomba morning radio on the ABC launched ‘Child Writes’ and a large group of happy and enthusiastic people crowded out Mary Ryans Bookshop, Toowoomba in support of Emma’s fantastic effort.

I mustn’t forget to mention that Child Writes: Creating a Children’s Picture Book is Child’s Play won a gold medal at the 2012 The Independent Publisher Book Awards, taking out the Best Adult Non-Fiction E-Book .

As it says on the cover, creating a children’s picture book is child’s play and this little gem of a book is full of helpful advice assisting you to believe in your abilities. And as Emma writes in the Preface “It is wonderful when a project you embrace begins to unfold in front of you – especially one which is led by instinctive responses and is supported by the generosity of those around you. The process of writing to share is marvellous!”

We all think Emma is Emm-azing – a big congratulations.

Like the commenter above states, the link isn’t working. Is this book available at amazon.com?

    Hi Andrei
I will redo the link in the blog post and check to see if it works otherwise copy the web address into your browser. Once you are at the site go to ‘Authors’ page find Emma Mactaggart in the list then click on her books and it should take you to a page where you can purchase the book.
As far as I know the book is not available at amazon.com.
I will redo the link in the post now hopefully it will work.
    Kindest regards
