Introducing artist Sally Fricker for Thursday Art day

I first met Sally a couple of years ago, through a connection with the glorious Borzoi breed. Recently we were back in touch, and this was when I discovered Sally’s amazing artistic talent.

Sally works from her studio in the scenic hills of Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. She is graphic designer, and artist/illustrator as well as multi awarded ceramic artist. More recently Sally has turned her creativity to custom portrait painting, focusing mainly on animal portraits, in particular pets, and pets with their people.

Sally’s love of animals stands out in her highly detailed, and incredibly lifelike portraits. With her many years of breeding and showing of purebred dogs, and her involvement with horses (including the rescue and rehabilitation of Brumbies destined for culling), her specialization in dog and horse portraits expresses her passion and knowledge of her subjects.

Sally’s portraits have recently seen international recognition with her work being included in a soon to be US published coffee table book ‘Painter Masterpieces’. As well as portrait work Sally’s creative art also includes a range of animal breed collectables including greeting cards and prints, and can be seen on her SallyF Creative Art website: www.sallyfcreativeart.com.
