TURN UP FOR THE BOOKS – IT’S ALL MAGIC!

I dedicate today – New Years Eve, 2012 to making magic happen. The thing is, you have to believe in magic to make it happen.
Although I’ve always thought that quietly, underlying everything in this world is a type of magic. I’ve had my beliefs shaken of late. We’ve all experienced moments of happiness that have taken us by surprise, just as we’ve occasionally been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of how people make magic visible.
My shipment of Winds of Time was such an occurrence. Three separate dates were promised by my printer and the three dates arrived and passed – with no books. I resigned myself to failing all my loyal readers who pre-ordered their copies.
Then totally out of the blue, the past and the future collided with a sharp knock on the front door. Abracadabra – magic happened! Parked outside sat a white courier van packed with boxes of books! I was so excited I kissed the courier driver and gave her a copy of Tails Carried High.
My friends insisted the books could arrive but I tended to ignore the possibilities. Now I know to listen to my friends and always look for the possible rather than the impossible.
With a huge sigh of relief I welcome 2013 knowing that all the pre-ordered books are on their way to their new owners, around Australia and across the world.
So if I were to now ask, “What’s possible in 2013?” I would definitely answer, “ANYTHING!”
“That’s the thing about magic; you’ve got to know it’s still here, all around us, or it just stays invisible for you.”
