Outback Books Toowoomba

I’ve always been a lover of interesting shops but I hadn’t managed to visit one shop in Toowoomba though my husband kept insisting I make the effort. The shop is Rhonda’s Refits www.rhondasrefits.com on Bridge Street in Toowoomba.

This is not a ‘visit for ten minutes’ type of shop in fact I think you could become lost looking at the most amazing treasure trove of western boots, hats, jeans, artwork, bronze sculptures, jewellery and an enormous array gifts, plus as they say – so much more.

I was delighted to find that owner Jeff Close also sells books from the store, and hosts a well set up online store www.outbackbooks.info. He specialises in self/independent publishers. His love of the Outback is enthralling with titles including, women in the bush, wool and sheep, bushcraft books, bush verse, Australians at war, horses, railways, Qantas and air, to name a few.

On the Outback Books website you can find a collection of books, novels, DVD’s, postcards, maps and books of bush verse.
