“The sunset flooded the landscape and for a moment blinded the onlookers. The man astride his passaging stallion appeared to emerge from the sun’s rays, as if millions of golden dust stars lifted him with each stride. Halting the horse, Sabeel raised his arm in homage to Mouklis and the stallion rose on his hind legs in respect to his fellow ‘winged’ creatures. The edges of his thick mane and tail shot sparks of pewter into the canopy of the ficus. He landed as gently as the breath of a baby.”
