A Monday Question:
Do you ever have days like this?

I’ve just answered my question and I’m not sure it’s good news. My favourite Newsletter from Dr Philip E. Humbert www.philiphumbert.com arrived and as I read, I began to laugh. Oh dear, it was like looking at a mirror image of …  you guessed it, my days. Not every day mind, occasional days? At least, I recognised myself in what was written so I decided to do my own version.

Should you take yourself too seriously? Definitely not.

THE BOOT GANG WHITE GLOW “The Boot Gang”

It appears I’ve contracted a condition know as Age-Activated Attention Deficit Disorder (AAADD).

Symptoms: This is how it goes …

I decide to do the vacuuming and as I drag out the vacuum cleaner, I notice the newspaper on the table.
Okay, I’m going to do the vacuuming …

BUT FIRST I’m going to thumb through the newspaper. After that, I notice the stack of mail on the table…
Right, I’ll just put the newspaper in the recycle bin …. I know some days can be like this …

BUT FIRST I’ll look through the mail and see if I’ve missed anything important, like bills! Yes.

Now where is the chequebook? Oops… there’s the empty coffee cup from yesterday beside the computer. I need to find that chequebook …

BUT FIRST I’ll put the cup in the sink. I head for the kitchen, look out the window and remember that I was going to turn on the sprinkler.
I put the glass in the sink and there’s those scissors I was searching for yesterday on the kitchen counter.
What are they doing here? I’ll just put them away …

BUT FIRST I need to turn on the sprinkler. I head for the door and… Aaaagh! The darn cat’s whingeing to be fed.
Cat needs to be fed. Okay, I’ll put the scissors away and turn on the sprinkler … BUT FIRST I need to feed the cat.

END OF DAY: Vacuuming is not done, newspapers still not read, cup is still in the sink, mail is not checked.
The chequebook is still lost, and the cat is soaked by the sprinkler. And, when I try to figure why nothing’s been done today,
I’m confused because… I KNOW I WAS BUSY ALL DAY!
I realise this condition could be serious … I’ll get help …

BUT FIRST… I need to check my e-mail …

Have a great week …
