SEEKING INNER STRENGTH AND BALANCE  –  Carmel Rowley

About a year ago I made a decision, which turned out to be one of the wisest choices I’ve ever made. My life had become filled with everyday conflicts. At any time I was constantly being knocked off balance and it didn’t take a genius to realise that I couldn’t continue this way. I needed something to give me the strength and understanding to absorb my life’s physical and emotional forces.

But how do any of us know what our strengths are unless you test them?  For me Yoga has turned out to be the perfect platform. Yoga has become a way to keep my mind and my physical self in balance. Not only have I met and share my class with some extraordinary people but I have also learned to replenish and build my inner and outer strength. My health had become an issue so I needed something to generate energy at a level I could manage.

So with  this in mind I have attached a wonderful breathing exercise for everyone to enjoy. I do this everyday, give it a go, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain …

Hi Carmel, I have a funny feeling that I should take up yoga again as it keeps popping up! I’ve just completed a Chronic Pain Management Course and they suggested yoga there and now this snippet from you!

I will search to see if there are classes within reasonable distance as fuel is pricey down here in Tassie! We’re half an hour from civilisation for a start so hoping there will be classes in Burnie.

    Fond regards,

    Jenn

Dear Jenn, I’ve been doing Yoga now for just over twelve months and it’s been an enormous help to me mainly related to the wonderful relaxation techniques. I was in desperate need for something to help me with my anxiety. I’m on several medications for my autoimmune condition, which don’t help my state of mind so the last thing I needed was to take yet another lot of tablets.
I think go with your feelings even if you stretch out your classes to suit your budget. Classes here are expensive but it has been an enormous benefit to me.
      Take care of yourself.
      Fondest regards back to you,
      Carmel
